Education and Community Care Paralegal
Yolanda is a Paralegal in our Education and Community Care team. She helps both legally aided and private clients with issues relating to Special Educational Needs at the SEND Tribunal, and assists senior solicitors with a wide range of Judicial Review cases.
Recent successes include a successful SEN appeal for a placement in a special school, and helping a homeless 18-year-old challenge an unlawful exclusion from her college, enabling her to continue her A-levels.
Interests outside of work
Yolanda enjoys getting involved in local community projects such as volunteering at local food banks, and is interested in issues around access to law and human rights.
In her spare time, she also enjoys singing and cooking, and in lockdown has become a keen knitter. Yolanda speaks French and Italian and graduated from Oxford with a degree in these languages.
