Trainee Solicitor, Public Law
Aimee qualified with a Law Degree from the University of Lancaster in 2012. After joining Simpson Millar in July 2015 she earned her Legal Practitioners’ Course certificate from the University of Central Lancashire in July 2016.
Aimee is a Trainee Solicitor specialising in Public Law. She has experience in all areas of Education Law including admissions, unlawful exclusions and supporting parents obtaining educational placements when their children are out of school. Aimee has recently expanded her practice to include work in the Health and Welfare area of the Court of Protection.
Many of her current cases involve challenges against deprivation of liberty. This can include challenges against a person’s residence and care arrangements and also challenges against decisions made about capacity to marry, consent to sexual relations and travel abroad.
Interests outside of work
Aimee enjoys going hiking with her friends, spending time with her family, and settling down to read a good book.
