Marietta is a Paralegal, working from our Manchester office and specialising in Serious Injury Claims, within our Personal Injury Claims department.
Professional Biography
Marietta brings with her an impressive educational background, having studied at York St John University for her LLB and later, the University of Law where she accomplished both her LPC and LLM. She’s also due to complete LPC and LLM in May 2024.
She joined the Personal Injury Claims team at Simpson Millar in August 2023. Her day-to-day tasks involve actively liaising with Medical experts, Counsel, Third Party insurers, Solicitors, and the Court. She takes great care in obtaining instructions from clients and drafting witness statements.
Before joining us, Marietta was previously a Fee Earner for vehicle damage and credit hire claims. Notably, during her time at another firm, two of her cases went to a final hearing and secured 100% of the claims compensation requested. Motivated by her goal to combat social injustices, Marietta worked with the CLOCK Scheme at the York County Court to help people who didn't have a lawyer. She supported and guided them through the court process, making sure they weren't alone, providing them with invaluable guidance and comfort.
Marietta offers legal support for various types of incidents, covering road traffic accidents (RTA), accidents at work claims , accidents in a public place, and even fatal accidents. Her passion for law is deeply rooted in her desire to make a real, positive impact on people's lives, especially for victims of accidents that weren't their fault. She helps our Solicitors to ensure their clients receive the help and compensation they rightly deserve.
Besides her excellent legal skills, she has a deep commitment to addressing issues in society and supporting those unfamiliar with the court process.
