John is a Solicitor specialising in Contentious Probate, Wills, Trusts and Estates work including:
- Contesting a Will
- Claims under the inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975
- Breaches of lifetime promises
- Disputes concerning the administration of a Trust or an Estate
- Claims concerning negligent advice about a Will, Trust or an Estate
- Disputed applications to the Court of Protection to register a Power or Attorney, to appoint a Deputy, approve a lifetime gift or the making of a statutory Will.
John qualified as a Solicitor in 2000 and spent 15 years at DWF in both dispute resolution and commercial insurance. During this time, he dealt with a wide range of high value and complex disputes, including a successful claim before the Court of Appeal in 2008. He left DWF in 2013 to become Head of Dispute Resolution at Hillyer McKeown in Chester.
Throughout his career, his workload has included a range of contentious Trust and Estate disputes. He joined Myerson in Altrincham to specialise in this area in 2017 and spent two years there, where he specialised in this area of law.

Interests outside of work
John spends much of his free time transporting his children to their various sporting and social activities and stealing some quiet time when he can.
