Director of Marketing
Ian joined Simpson Millar in 2017 and has more than 20 years’ experience in the legal sector, and more than 30 in marketing in all.
He was a member of the management team at Co-op Legal Services immediately before joining Simpson Millar, and while there he played a key role in moving the business back into profit after it suffered substantial losses in 2013 and 2014.
Before joining the Co-op, Ian was a director at Irwin Mitchell solicitors for 15 years, and part of a team which transformed a regional firm into one of the leading legal businesses in the UK.
Ian has extensive experience in developing new channels to market, including developing significant ‘direct to market’ channels, along with a proven track record of developing new products and propositions, strategic partnerships and increasing new business, market share, brand and profitability in the legal sector.
Interests outside of work
With a young son, any spare time he has is often spent on the side lines of a football pitch.
