She specialises in areas including the administration of taxable and non-taxable Estates, the administration and termination of Trusts and drafting Wills including Immediate Post Death Interest Trusts, Nil Rate Band Discretionary Trusts and Trusts providing for disabled beneficiaries.
Other areas of expertise include Estate Planning, covering areas such as the mitigation of Inheritance Tax and capital gains, Lasting Powers of Attorney, the registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection work including Deputy Orders.
Clare qualified as a Solicitor in 2005 and joined Simpson Millar in January 2020 from a regional firm where she had been a partner for several years.
She has represented a wide variety of clients throughout her career, including professionals and company directors. Clare prides herself on going the extra mile for those she represents, and is happy to visit local clients at home or in hospital.

Claire enjoys swimming and considers herself something of an expert on 90s pop music.
