Education and Community Care Paralegal
Abigail is a Paralegal in our Education and Community Care team, who helps Solicitors across a range of cases.
This includes advising clients during SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) Tribunal appeals, general education matters, community care cases and Dublin III/Family Reunification Judicial Review challenges.
Career
Abigail joined Simpson Millar in February 2021 as a Paralegal in the Public Law department, assisting Solicitors on a mix of education, community care and public law cases.
She graduated from the University of Cambridge with a BA in Law and is currently studying the LPC part-time. She is due to finish in September 2021.
Prior to joining Simpson Millar, Abigail volunteered with the Migrant and Refugee Children’s Legal Unit (MiCLU) within Islington Law Centre, ECPAT UK and Shpresa Programme. This involved working with a number of young people who had been trafficked or experienced exploitation.
Interests outside of work
In her spare time, Abigail continues to volunteer with various charities and enjoys playing and watching sport.
