Zuzanna Szymczak

Family Law and Divorce Solicitor, Polish Team

Case Studies

Zuzanna specialises in Family Law dealing mostly with Divorce and resolving disputes regarding children such as residence of a child, child contact, removing a child from jurisdiction or obtaining a passport for a child without the other parent’s consent.

She also helps clients with Divorce Financial Orders and Financial Settlements.

Zuzanna's expertise includes dealing with Domestic Abuse matters and she has a very good understanding of Care Proceedings.

Zuzanna began working at Simpson Millar in February 2016 as a Paralegal, her first post in the legal profession in England, although she was qualified as a Solicitor (Radca Prawny) in her native Poland.

Zuzanna studied law at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland and finished her legal training in the District Chambers of Attorneys-at-Law in the same city. In March 2016 Zuzanna passed the Polish bar exam.

Zuzanna also obtained the Graduate Diploma in Law at the BPP University in London in June 2016.

As Zuzanna was already a qualified Lawyer in a recognised jurisdiction, her plan was to qualify as a Solicitor in England and Wales under the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Scheme. Zuzanna continued to work full time and study for the QLTS exam. She passed the first part of that exam in January 2018 and the second part of the exam, which was a combination of 6 full days of writing and oral exams, in February 2019.

Zuzanna was admitted to the roll of the solicitors of England and Wales on 17 June 2019 and she is now practicing as a Solicitor.

Her expertise is in Family Law, Divorce and Polish Legal Services.

Interests Outside of Work

Zuzanna enjoys visiting museums and art galleries, literature – particularly fantasy and science fiction – fresh water sailing, and skiing.
