Partner, Holiday Claims Solicitor
Ross joined Simpson Millar in 2006, and was made a Partner in the business in 2017. He has over 16 years’ experience in Travel Law and Personal Injury claims.
Ross leads our teams of Travel Law Solicitors. He is skilled in handling foreign Road Traffic Accident claims, and has in-depth knowledge of all relevant EU Regulations. Ross has a niche in Direct Right of Action claims, as well as Montreal Convention and Athens Convention matters. He is also highly skilled in handling PTR cases and Ski Accidents.
As part of his approach to Travel Law claims, Ross continuously develops his litigation strategy, utilising a specific problem-solving skillset to find new and inventive approaches to his client's cases.
In addition to undertaking all forms of Holiday Accident and Holiday Sickness claims, as part of his leadership role, Ross enjoys being approached by his colleagues for advice and has established a Mentoring Scheme within the firm to great effect.
He was awarded a Master’s Degree in the 1990s, then joined the RAC in Bristol, initially working on the legal advice lines for members, before moving to its London headquarters to advise the company directors.
After gaining exposure to work in many areas of the law, Ross chose to focus his efforts on Personal Injury Law, and committed to helping people who had be genuinely injured to get the rehabilitation they deserved.
Ross has had many notable cases reported in the media, as well as in legal reports. He is known for taking a "no nonsense, get results" approach to Travel Law, while being approachable and ensuring that he clearly explains the legal process and keeping his clients informed.
He is a member of the Travel and Tourism Lawyers’ Association, and was recommended in Chambers and Partners UK 2018 where sources say, “He understands the requirements of claims and is also very practical as to how to move a case forward.”
