Personal Injury Paralegal
Maria-Isavela is a Paralegal in our Personal Injury department and provides support on both Employers’ and Public Liability cases. Her main areas of practice include Accidents at Work, Road Traffic Accidents, Asbestos cases and Clinical Negligence.
She is committed to putting the interests of her clients first and ensuring they get strategic advice and guidance.
Maria-Isavela graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Single Honours Degree from Swansea University in June 2016, and a Masters of Law (LLM) Masters degree in International Maritime Law, in which she earned an upper division 2:1 with merit.
Part 2 of the Masters degree involved two projects (50% of the final grade). Project 1 was made on Marine Insurance in respect of the Insurance Act 2015 and Project 2 was subject to Law of the Sea in regards to the concept of Piracy.
Interests outside of work
Maria-Isavela enjoys playing tennis, swimming and water skiing. She also recently volunteered as a legal advisor/telephone assessor in Birmingham’s Citizens Advice Bureau in 2019. During this period, she got involved in issues such as resolving employment, benefits, housing and consumer issues, and wellbeing matters.
