Lydia is a solicitor specialising in Education Law and Child Care Proceedings, based between our Manchester and Lancaster offices.
She joined Simpson Millar in 2018 as an Education Law Paralegal, before starting her training contract in April 2021 and working within Education Law, Court of Protection, and Child Care.
Lydia has experience in all areas of Education Law and has expertise in appeals to the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Tribunal. Lydia also works on disability discrimination claims and Judicial Review.
Lydia also works on cases relating to children and their families. This involves representing parents and other family members in Care Proceedings and during the Pre-Proceedings process.

Qualifications
Lydia graduated with an LLB in Law from Lancaster University in 2018 and completed her LLM in Professional Legal Practice at The University of Law in 2021. She qualified as a solicitor in April 2023.
