Lauren Bayliff is a Legal Executive in our Medical Negligence department, based in our Manchester office.
Professional Biography
Lauren achieved her CILEx Paralegal (ACILEx) qualification in September 2022 and is currently advancing her legal education through further CILEx modules at the CILEx Law School, working towards becoming a Chartered Legal Executive. Lauren’s journey with Simpson Millar began in March 2024, bringing her valuable experience from another firm, where she specialised in Medical Negligence since June 2019, particularly in orthopaedic injuries and group actions. This specialisation has equipped her with the skills and knowledge to manage complex cases effectively.
In her role at Simpson Millar, Lauren manages her own caseload of Medical Negligence claims from their initiation to settlement. Her day-to-day responsibilities include direct communication with clients, collaborating with medical experts for case evidence, and negotiating settlements with defendants to secure the best outcomes for her clients.
Lauren’s interest in Clinical Negligence was sparked during her legal studies and further solidified through her work assisting clients who have suffered due to Medical Negligence. This area of law resonates with her desire to help people and make a meaningful difference in their lives by advocating for their rights and seeking justice on their behalf.
