Katerina joined Simpson Millar as a Paralegal, working in the Family Law department from May 2017.
She specifically dealt with Children Law matters, including public and private law proceedings, Domestic Violence cases and Divorce matters. Katerina worked as a Fee Earning Paralegal, later obtaining a training contract which started in April 2019.
Before joining the firm, Katerina completed the LLB and subsequently the Legal Practice Course. During this time, Katerina volunteered as a Gateway Assessor at the Citizens Advice Bureau, produced statements at the National Centre for the Domestic Violence, and then offering assistance to litigants in person through the ‘Personal Support Unit’ in the Royal Courts of Justice and the Central Family Court.
Katerina now works closely with our Family Law Solicitors on a wide range of family law cases, including Divorce and Divorce Financial Orders and Settlements, Children Law, Non-molestation and Occupation Orders and TOLATA claims.
She will move departments within the two-year training contract, moving to Employment Law and then Residential Conveyancing, before returning to Family Law.
Katerina is a member of Resolution - a national organisation of Family Lawyers committed to non-confrontational divorce, separation and other family law problems.
