Since her admission as a Solicitor in September 2020, Jessica has specialised in claims against various public authorities, bringing complaints and claims against police forces, including issues of unlawful arrest, unlawful stop and search, excessive use of force, and malicious prosecution. She also focuses on cases involving discrimination, breaches of the Human Rights Act, and the Data Protection Act. Her developing specialism in representing victims of gender-based violence, modern slavery, and trafficking further highlights her commitment to civil liberties and human rights. Her skills in this field led to her recognition as a ‘key lawyer’ in the Legal 500 2022 for Civil Liberties and Human Rights.

Jessica's experience includes a training contract and 2 years post-qualification at a London civil liberties and human rights firm, where she worked across various departments including Public Law, Community Care, and Civil Actions Against Public Authorities and Inquests. Before this, she spent three years as a paralegal in criminal defence, extradition, and prison law, where she gained valuable experience as an accredited police station representative and represented prisoners in adjudications.

Jessica has also completed an internship with the Council of Europe’s anti-human trafficking secretariat and actively volunteered with local charities aiding refugees and migrants.
