Jamil Mohammed

Jamil joined Simpson Millar in 2016 as a Paralegal, and was admitted to the roll of Solicitors in October 2022.

Jamil has vast experience of working on personal injury claims, including complex accident at work, public liability and holiday accident claims. He helps recover compensation for injuries including catastrophic injuries such as brain injury, spinal injury and amputation. He is also skilled in dealing with Direct Right of Action claims and claims under the Package Travel Regulations, Montreal convention and Athens convention. As well as his main duties, Jamil has helped claimants affected by other travel claims arising from a breach of contract.

Jamil joined us after studying for three years towards his Law degree at the University of Salford, during which he moved to Spain to continue his studies and complete his LLB Law degree.

He spent a year at the Colegio Universitario Cardenal Cisneros in Madrid, becoming fluent in Spanish and proficient in Bulgarian in the process. He made some great friends in this time, and as a result has connections in Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Hungary, Germany, Mexico and Turkey among other countries.

Interests outside of work

Jamil enjoys spending time with his daughter, Maya. He is a lifelong Manchester United supporter and can play a bit too – he captained the University of Salford Law Society’s team, and played for his Spanish university’s side.
