Private Client Paralegal
Jack has four years’ experience in the legal profession, having joined Simpson Millar in October 2014, as an apprentice. He became a Paralegal in August 2016.
His day-to-day work involves assisting Grace Serwanga with her Private Client caseload, including Wills and Trusts and Probate matters. However, most of his time is spent managing Deputyship files where Grace has been appointed as professional deputy to manage the financial affairs of someone who lacks the capacity to do so themselves.
Jack has particular knowledge of working on cases where clients have sustained Brain Injuries as a result of a Road Traffic Accident (RTA) or Medical Negligence suffered at birth. He helps to manage substantial compensation packages received on a client’s behalf through successful litigation claims, working closely with the firm’s Serious Personal Injury and Financial Services Departments.
Jack is due to start his apprenticeship towards becoming a Solicitor in January 2019.
His work entails working closely with clients’ families, using his network of professional contacts, such as Solicitors, accountants and investment management companies, to help clients manage the compensation packages awarded after successful compensation claims.
Jack’s expertise is also in Court of Protection matters.
Interests outside of work
Jack spends much of his spare time following his local football club, Crystal Palace, and he also likes to find time to travel and spend with family and friends.
