Gaynor Beckett

Employment Law Solicitor

Gaynor is a Solicitor in our Employment Law team and our Private Employment and Protective Award Manager.

She provides advice and assistance to a Solicitor and ten Paralegals on the Protective Award team, and also advises on private client employment matters, both contentious and non-contentious.

In addition, Gaynor negotiates and completes settlement agreements, and delivers training packages to trade union regional officers.

Career

Gaynor was admitted as a Solicitor in 2002 and has specialised in Employment Law for 17 years.

Her expertise includes legal drafting, such as employment and commercial pleadings, witness statements, employee handbooks, contracts, director’s service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, shareholder agreements and consultancy agreements. She has also supported commercial Solicitors with commercial contract drafting.

Gaynor has lots of experience representing members of large trade unions in contentious employment law work. This includes members of the National Union of Teachers (NUT), Royal College of Nursing (RCN), Communication Workers Union (CWU) and the Transport Workers Union (TWU).

She has also written articles for company websites and brochures, and is a confident public speaker and keen networker.

Professional Memberships & Accreditations

Gaynor is a member of the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Employment Lawyers Association.

Interests outside of work

Gaynor is a keen triathlete, competing at standard and sprint distance.
