She has more than 10 years’ experience in Family Law and Divorce, having obtained her Law degree from University of Manchester, and qualified as a Solicitor in March 2008.
Fiona specialises in matrimonial finance and private Children Law matters, often with an international element. She has a strong reputation in the resolution of relationship breakdown from all types of families, including same-sex relationships, unmarried couples and inter-family relations where expertise in Trusts and Property Law is required.
Fiona has considerable experience in complex high profile and high net worth financial cases but works with clients with varied financial backgrounds and from all walks of life. She is skilled in drafting and negotiating Prenup and Postnuptial agreements.
Fiona is committed to helping families separate constructively, commercially and amicably where possible but has a proven track record as a Litigator when circumstances dictate, which can include emergency Court applications such as Injunctions.
Fiona has an excellent rapport with expert Counsel and works hard to ensure that the right team is assembled for each individual case. Fiona adopts a sensitive approach to her clients, is proactive to meet their objectives and is cost conscious.
Above all, Fiona ensures that the protection of the children of the family is put at the forefront of settlement discussions and the minds of the parties when considering the future.
Fiona is a member of Resolution, the national organisation of Family Lawyers committed to non-confrontational divorce, separation and other family problems.
Interests outside of work
Fiona is a keen runner and swimmer. She is a former rower but now only exercises on dry land. Fiona also enjoys travelling the world, theatre and the arts.
