Charlie Longhorn

As an Associate Solicitor for our Care Proceedings team based in Bristol, Charlie works on cases relating to children and their families. This involves representing parents and other family members in Care Proceedings and during the Pre-Proceedings process.

Charlie can also advise on other matters where Children’s Services are involved, including where Special Guardianship Orders are applied for as well as domestic abuse matters and private family applications.  

Charlie’s main areas of practice are cases involving allegations of neglect, non-accidental injury, physical and sexual abuse, domestic violence and addiction.

After graduating with a Law and Criminology (LLB) degree at the University of Lincoln, Charlie completed her Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in Bristol. She then worked in criminal law as an Accredited Police Station Representative.

Prior to joining Simpson Millar, Charlie’s role focused on representing parents and other family members in Care Proceedings and during the Pre-Proceedings process.

Charlie works closely with her clients to ensure they are fully supported, advised and guided throughout, including during complex Court proceedings.
