Carla is a Conveyancing Assistant based in Liverpool, advising clients who are buying or selling a house.


In 2016, Carla became a Sefton Councillor, representing St Oswald ward in Bootle. This year (2021), she was appointed as the Chair of Adult Social Care and Health Committee at Sefton Council, and she also sits on the Licensing Committee.

In 2018, Carla was appointed as the Deputy Portfolio Holder for Policy, Reform and Resources to Liverpool City Region Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram and have been reappointed for 2021/22.

Carla is the Liverpool City Region Dementia Champion and sits on the Fairness and Social Justice Advisory Board. In addition, she is part of the Poverty and Life Chances Working Group and sits on the NW Employers Board.

Previously, Carla was the Chair of the Merseyside Police and Crime Panel and sat on the National Association of Police and Crime Panels.

She is also a senior publicly elected Governor at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre (serving two terms), where she has been involved with issues including safety and financial risks, access to healthcare, mitigations and clinical governance and appointing the chief executive and non-executive directors.

Carla is the current Executive member of Community Engagement in the Sefton Central Constituency Labour Party.

After the awful Manchester Arena terror attack in 2017, she organised an event at the Shankly Hotel in Liverpool, which was attended by both Manchester Metro Mayor Andy Burnham and Liverpool City Region Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram. She raised almost £10,000 for the Manchester Fund.

Carla graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with a degree in Law, including French law and language modules, and also gained her Legal Practice Course qualification in Law, Medicine and Healthcare from the University of Liverpool.

Carla is a member of the Law Society, the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Interests outside of work

In her spare time, Carla enjoys water colour painting, making jewellery, reading, swimming and spending quality time with her family. She also has two chihuahuas and a cockatiel.
