Medical Negligence

Caprice Haughton

Graduate Solicitor Apprentice

Manchester

Caprice supports our Clinical Negligence Solicitors and Legal Executives on a variety of medical negligence cases and has been involved in a number of different stages of the claims process.

As part of Caprice’s apprenticeship, she’s studying for the Solicitor Qualification Exam. Once this is completed, Caprice will start her qualifying work experience and become a Solicitor shortly after.

After joining Simpson Millar in March 2020, Caprice worked as the first point of contact in our contact centre for potential clients. She then progressed into the practice area of medical negligence where she had the opportunity to work towards her Solicitor qualifications and training.

Caprice became interested in Clinical Negligence matters after studying this area of law during her Law Degree and through assisting clients who had suffered medical negligence as a Legal Call Handler.

Outside of Work

Caprice has worked with Changing Our Lives, a disabled rights organisation for the past eight years. After being diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, Caprice is passionate about showing young people that having an ordinary life is possible no matter the disability you may have.
