Amna Babar
Abuse Paralegal
Nathalie Swanwick and Amna Babar were always extremely helpful and pleasant.
Amna is a Paralegal in our Abuse department, helping Solicitor Nathalie Swanwick manage abuse claims.
They help people who have suffered abuse claim compensation and often represent adults who have been abused in childhood.
Amna and Nathalie bring claims against public bodies such as local authorities, schools, police and religious and charitable organisations.
They also specialise in compensation claims through the Criminal Injury Compensation Authority and regularly take cases to Tribunal hearing. In addition, they help people bring redress claims.
Prior to working on abuse cases, Amna worked in another law firm specialising in road traffic accident claims on behalf of injured clients.
She graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2017 with a 2:1 LLB Hons degree. She also gained a Commendation on her Legal Practice Course at the BPP Law School.
Interests outside of work
Amna is currently a Wellbeing Volunteer for the Deafblind charity. Her role includes providing support and assistance to members of the charity.
She has also volunteered at Shelter in Manchester, providing help, advice and assistance to the clients accessing its services.
