Child Protection Solicitor
Amanda joined Simpson Millar in 2016, and has worked in a number of areas of the law since qualifying as a Solicitor in 1997.
However, Family Law was her first, and remains her most abiding interest, her ability to communicate at all levels helping her in her work helping people with challenges in their lives, particularly with mental health and learning difficulties.
She gained a degree in law from University of the West of England, and is a respected Family Law Solicitor, as well as being a member of Resolution, and of the Children Law and Family Law Panels of the Law Society. This accreditation means she can represent all respondents in Care Proceedings, a challenge that she thoroughly embraces and enjoys.
Interests outside of work
Amanda is fascinated by the world underwater and loves to snorkel and swim. She is a very capable knitter and thoroughly enjoys making jam tarts with her granddaughter. She speaks good French and enjoys using that ability when she has the opportunity.
