Elinor works as a Paralegal within Simpson Millar's Abuse Claims team.
Professional Biography
She earned her Law Degree from Leeds Beckett University and is now continuing her studies with a Masters of Law in Legal Practice at The University of Law.
Starting her career as a Litigation Executive, Elinor gained experience managing Employment Tribunal claims but being moved by a desire to support abuse survivors, she shifted her focus and quickly became a key member of our Abuse team. In her role, working closely with Solicitor, Hywel Thomas, Elinor assists on claims against public bodies including councils, schools, religious and charitable organisations, social services and claims directly against individuals. She also handles claims for the Criminal Injury Compensation Authority (CICA), supporting those who've been victims of a violent crime.
Elinor was also involved in a fundraising initiative for the National Association of People Abused in Childhood (NAPAC), participating in a sponsored walk in August 2023 for a worthy cause.
Through her role, Elinor hopes and aims to make a positive change in people's lives, demonstrating a commitment not only to her profession but to the wider cause of justice and care. She passionately believes in the law as a medium to help survivors, allowing her the opportunity to aid those in opening up about challenging and sensitive situations and steering them towards the justice they truly deserve.
Elinor's warmth and genuine care are evident in her work at Simpson Millar. She goes beyond just fulfilling a role; she connects with the heart of every case, truly understanding the needs of survivors.
