Inquest to Investigate Death of 6 year old Boy to Begin
An inquest to investigate the death of a young boy from Erith, South-east London, is scheduled to take place between the 29th September and the 2nd of October at County Hall, Maidstone.
Leon Singh, 6, was admitted to Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford, Kent, on May 1st 2019 with a number of ongoing symptoms including a high temperature. He was later transferred to Evelina London Children’s Hospital on May 3rd, but sadly passed away the following day on May 4th.
The inquest had originally been scheduled to take place over the summer but was delayed.
The family have instructed law firm Simpson Millar as part of their efforts to better understand the circumstances surrounding Leon’s death.
Speaking on their behalf their Medical Negligence Solicitor Rebecca Brunton said, “The family have been devastated by the loss of Leon. It is their hope that the inquest will provide some much-needed answers with regards the chain of events leading up to his tragic death.”
The family will not be available for comment at this time, and have asked that all media enquiries go via their legal team who can be contacted on firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone on 07852 282802
