How Does the Claims Process Work?

If we decide to take on your case after the initial call, your personal injury claim will be allocated to a specialist Injury Lawyer. We’ll let you know if we believe you have a good chance of success and be clear about any costs to you from the outset.

We’ll carry out all the necessary work on your behalf and give you clear and regular updates throughout the whole process. 

Your Lawyer or Solicitor will assess liability - who is at fault for your injury - and may contact witnesses to get key facts about what happened to you.

We’ll also get your medical records and then select and instruct any appropriate medical experts to assess you. They’ll write a medical report about the injuries you’ve sustained and how they’ve affected your life.

As well as claiming for the injury itself, we’ll also make sure you claim the correct compensation for any lost earnings and expenses you’ve racked up as a result of what happened. We will consider rehabilitation, immediate treatment and care needs and arrange them for you.

When we have all the necessary evidence, we will value your claim and tell you that valuation.

Any legal advice we give you is independent, and you can raise questions with us about your case at any time. You can also be assured that any information you tell us won’t be disclosed to the other side without your consent.

If your claim is to go to Court, we’ll prepare all the necessary paperwork. We can instruct Barristers to represent you, and in some cases, our experienced Injury Lawyers can represent you. However, most personal injury claims settle out of Court, so it’s unlikely to get to this stage. 

What Does No Win, No Fee Mean?

We deal with most personal injury claims on a No Win, No Fee basis, which means we won’t charge you if your claim is unsuccessful, as long as you co-operate with us throughout the claims process.

Under this arrangement, we can recover some of our costs from the other side, and other expenses will be taken from your compensation after it has been paid. We can discuss this with you at the start of your claim, so you’re not hit with any surprise costs after your case settles.
