Areas of Expertise:
Sean covers a whole spectrum of Child Care Law matters, including Care Proceedings, Public Outline Meetings, advice on Special Guardianship Orders and Adoption Proceedings. He also covers Domestic Abuse Injunctions, private Family Law Court applications among others.
Sean particularly enjoys working with younger parents and carers, advising and assisting them to ensure that children either remain or return home, when social services have raised concerns about their parenting.
He has been representing clients in Court including Emergency Protection Applications, Interim Care Order, Case Management, Issues Resolution and Final Hearings.
Sean studied LLB Law at Brunel University and completed his Legal Practicing Course at the University of Law.
Prior to joining Simpson Millar, Sean worked as a Solicitor in a Regional Firm based in Luton/Bedfordshire, where his primary focus was representing parents and carers in care proceedings where a number of cases involved allegations of non-accidental injuries, sexual and physical abuse, fictitious illness and cases of neglect, drug abuse and domestic violence.

Interests outside of work
During the weekends, Sean works with a local children’s charity mentoring children experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties.
He also loves travelling, notably trekking in Peru, road tripping around Europe and America and visiting some of the wonders of the world, most recently Petra.
