Professional Biography
Sean achieved a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Brunel University London, graduating in 2012. He furthered his legal education by completing a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the University of Law, graduating in 2014. Sean was admitted as a Solicitor in July 2016 after completing a significant portion of his training in Public Law at a regional firm in Luton/Bedfordshire.
Since qualifying as a Solicitor, Sean's primary focus has been on care proceedings, representing parents and carers in complex cases involving allegations of non-accidental injuries, sexual and physical abuse, fictitious illness, neglect, drug abuse, and domestic violence. His expertise covers both Public and Private Children Law cases.
At Simpson Millar, Sean's responsibilities include managing a range of childcare matters such as care proceedings, advising on special guardianship orders, and handling adoption proceedings. He also works on domestic abuse injunctions and various private family law court applications.
Sean is particularly dedicated to working with younger parents and carers, advising and assisting them in cases where social services have concerns about their parenting, aiming to keep families together or reunite them when possible. His experience in the courtroom spans various types of hearings, including emergency protection applications, interim care order, case management, issues resolution and final hearings.

Sean has been an accredited member of the Children Panel since February 2021, showcasing his specialised expertise in children's legal matters.
