Associate Solicitor, Care Proceedings
Sean covers a whole spectrum of Child Care Law matters, including Care Proceedings, Public Outline Meetings, advice on Special Guardianship Orders and Adoption Proceedings. He also covers Domestic Abuse Injunctions, private Family Law Court applications among others.
Sean particularly enjoys working with younger parents and carers, advising and assisting them to ensure that children either remain or return home, when social services have raised concerns about their parenting.
He has been representing clients in Court including Emergency Protection Applications, Interim Care Order, Case Management, Issues Resolution and Final Hearings.
Sean studied LLB Law at Brunel University and completed his Legal Practicing Course at the University of Law.
Prior to joining Simpson Millar, Sean worked as a Solicitor in a Regional Firm based in Luton/Bedfordshire, where his primary focus was representing parents and carers in care proceedings where a number of cases involved allegations of non-accidental injuries, sexual and physical abuse, fictitious illness and cases of neglect, drug abuse and domestic violence.
"Sean Harrison, my solicitor throughout the LA care proceedings, did a terrific piece of work throughout my entire case. I was so very stressed because I felt my disability needs were being overlooked by the LA but Sean decided to handle seriously ensuring I understood every detail and that I had the right people to support me. I had a successful ending to my case and I recommend Sean highly."
"The solicitor dealing with my family case, Sean Harrison, was very timely in his responses to my queries, and went out and beyond to help with the case. I felt 100% supported and would not hesitate to recommend the firm."
"I highly recommend Simpson Millar Solicitors. They dealt with my case and helped me throughout the process until everything was taken care of. They explained everything in detail and made the process a better learning experience. Sean always responded within 24 hours and kept me updated. I am grateful for the help I received from Sean and his team. If I ever (which I hope I don't) get into any other trouble, Simpson Millar are the ones I will call. Thank you so much for everything."
