Education Law Solicitor

Rachel is a Solicitor in our Public Law team, specialising in Education Law. She has a particular interest in special educational needs appeals and often represents clients in SEND Tribunals. She also undertakes a full range of other education law work.
Rachel completed her training contract in a City law firm and worked for 9 years there as a regulatory lawyer before taking a career break when her children were young. While away from work she spent several years helping families of children with SEN as a volunteer for IPSEA before taking the plunge and becoming a freelance educational law solicitor in 2020. She joined us as an Education Law Solicitor in September 2022.
In her spare time, Rachel enjoys running and often takes part in her local Parkrun with her son. She also likes taking long walks in the countryside with her family.
Additionally, Rachel runs a local board games group and organises fortnightly drop-in sessions to encourage new players of roleplaying games such as Dungeons and Dragons.
