Kirstie Bork is a Senior Associate Solicitor within our Military Claims department. She is based in Liverpool.

Professional biography

Kirstie represents serving military personnel, veterans and their families in a wide range of claims, supporting clients from their initial instructions through to settlement or, where necessary, trial. She manages cases throughout the legal process, regularly liaising with clients, barristers, defendants, third parties and the courts to ensure claims are progressed effectively.

Her main areas of expertise are Military Claims, Industrial Disease and Personal Injury. She has particular experience in claims involving noise-induced hearing loss, work-related cancers, dermatitis, Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS), asbestos-related conditions, accidents at work, public liability and medical negligence. Kirstie has represented people bringing claims against employers, the Ministry of Defence and other organisations, including individuals supported by trade unions and members of the Armed Forces.

Alongside her core areas of practice, Kirstie has also gained experience in Human Rights, Mental Health and Mental Capacity law, giving her a broad legal background and experience of working with people in a range of challenging circumstances.

Earlier in her career, Kirstie spent several years with Citizens Advice, initially as a volunteer before progressing to work as a Caseworker and Supervisor. This experience helped her develop a strong understanding of the importance of accessible legal advice and ensuring people understand their rights and the options available to them.

Educational background

Kirstie studied Law and German at the University of Central Lancashire, graduating with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons) in 2006. She went on to complete the Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2009, followed by a Master of Laws (LLM) in Advanced Legal Practice in 2010.

Kirstie was admitted as a solicitor on 3 January 2017 and also holds Civil Higher Rights of Audience, which allows her to represent clients as an advocate in the higher civil courts.

Personal statement

Kirstie has always had a strong interest in law and justice and is motivated by helping clients have a voice and the means to enforce their legal rights. She understands that the legal process can be complicated and lengthy, particularly for people dealing with an injury or illness alongside their claim.

She is committed to guiding clients through that process, making sure they understand what is happening with their case and providing practical and compassionate support throughout.
