Beverley works in the Education Law team and deals mainly with Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal’s and EHCP appeals.
As an Education Law Advisor, her role is to advise parents and young people on issues relating to their education. She also liaises with Local Authorities, Schools, Non-Medical Experts and the SEND Tribunal.
Beverley regularly helps families to deal with Local Authority decisions to refuse to carry out an Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment or their refusal to issue an Education, Health and Care Plan.
She’s successfully argued against decisions to cease to maintain an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and often reviews and appeals the contents of Education, Health and Care Plans, including school placements.
She can also help with Disability Discrimination issues and drafting Pre-Action letters.

Beverley volunteers with an animal rescue and fosters and transports rescue dogs. She has 6 rescue dogs of her own, along with 2 cats.
She loves spending time with her family – she’s a special guardian for 3 children who take up a lot of her time, care and attention outside of work,
When she’s not looking after her family, she also enjoys reading fiction and non-fiction and really enjoys listening to music and going to live concerts and theatre.
