Our Personal Injury Solicitors were instructed to claim compensation for a road traffic accident involving a parked vehicle and a bicycle.

Our client was cycling past a line of parked cars when the defendant, who was in one of the parked cars, opened his car door, causing our client to be knocked off his bike.

Our client suffered from pain to his right shoulder, cuts to the right hand and fingers and cuts to his knee and leg. He also suffered from more long-term effects including shock and was shaken up as well as fearing travel following this accident.

Liability was admitted from the defendant after medical evidence was gathered and a settlement pack was submitted. Offers were made and we settled the cycling accident claim for £4,425 compensation for the client.

After the claim was settled, our client said, "The service I received from Susan Vanden of Simpson Millar was excellent. I was kept informed about the progress of my case until a final settlement was achieved."

"Thank you for the wonderful service and the amount of compensation I received."
