Driver with Whiplash Awarded Compensation Following Leeds 'Shunt'

Dated:

A young administrator whose car was struck by another has been awarded compensation following hospital treatment for whiplash.

Car Accident Compensation

As the woman drove along Station Road in Leeds, the car in front braked sharply, causing her to apply her own brakes.

'Shunt' Caused Damage and Injury

As a result of this the vehicle behind failed to slow down in time and 'shunted' the administrator's car. The 26 year-old was treated for whiplash-type injuries at St James' Hospital and she was recommended physiotherapy.

Car Behind at Fault

"Driving behind, and despite the fact that it was a dry and sunny day, the following vehicle failed to observe the path, position, approach and speed of the car in front," said Sophie Williamson of Simpson Millar LLP.

"He also neglected to stop, slow down or properly control his vehicle so as to avoid colliding with the young administrator's car. All things considered, it's little surprise that the accident happened."

10 out of 10!

"Simpson Millar LLP, especially Sophie Williamson, provided me with a fantastic service," said a delighted client, following her settlement of £2361.07 compensation. "[They were] professional and efficient, always keeping me up to date and responding when I needed help.

"They got me a good settlement and made it very easy for me, with little fuss, 10 out of 10 – a definite recommendation!"

The young administrator was offered treatment from the third-party insurers, which we accepted on her behalf.
