As a Paralegal in our Public Law and Human Rights department, Bethany supports Solicitors in the team with a variety of case matters in the areas of Public Law Judicial ReviewCommunity Care and Children’s Rights, Inquests and Claims Against Public Authorities.

Prior to joining Simpson Millar, Bethany completed a six-month internship with the non-profit organisation, International Justice Mission. Bethany specialised in the area of ending the online sexual exploitation of children and worked with a global team to expose, neutralise and prevent trafficking crime around the world.

Bethany graduated with her LLB Law Degree from Queen Mary University of London in 2021. Whilst studying, she was involved in pro bono work and played an active role in the university’s Legal Advice Centre. This involved acting as a Student Advisor, assisting members of the local community and providing legal advice as well as working within the administrative support team.

Interests outside of work

Bethany is regularly involved in activities organised by a local church in London and frequently volunteers to support the youth work they carry out.

In her spare time, Bethany enjoys baking, reading and visiting different coffee shops.
