Trainee Solicitor, Education & Community Care
Aimee joined Simpson Millar in September 2015 as a Paralegal. She now works as a Trainee Solicitor under the supervision of Julie Cornes, in the Court of Protection department, and Sarah Woosey in the Education Law department. Aimee is based in our London offices.
Her work in the Court of Protection department includes advising clients in relation to Deprivation of Liberty challenges, as well as general best interests applications and challenges.
In relation to Education Law, Aimee runs cases for Admission Appeals, Appeals to the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunals, and Permanent Exclusion appeals. She also has experience in Education and Public Law Judicial Reviews.
Aimee studied at UCL, graduating with a First Class Law degree in June 2015, and joined Simpson Millar soon afterwards. During her studies, she worked in the UCL’s rights and advice centre, and volunteered with Just For Kids Law, an organisation dedicated to upholding children’s legal rights.
Interests outside of work
Aimee enjoys long-distance running, is (slowly) learning to knit, and is an enthusiastic dog lover.
