Gemma began her career in law in 2013 after completing her legal studies. She specialised in abuse claims whilst securing a training contract as a solicitor. She spent a short time working with catastrophic injury cases, before returning and remaining with the Abuse Law team, fighting for the rights of abuse survivors.
Her passion for justice for abuse survivors was further driven by her experience attending CICA appeal hearings, during her training. She had the privilege of witnessing survivors of abuse giving compelling evidence about the abuse they had suffered. She found the experience emotional, inspirational and rewarding.
With a personable and empathetic approach to her work, Gemma brings justice for those clients bringing claims against public institutions. She is passionate about the right of justice for all and has spent time volunteering for both Citizens Advice Bureau and the RAF Cadets.
Gemma's husband is a keen Stockport County Football Club fan and has influenced Gemma's supporting inclinations greatly. She frequently spends her weekends attending Edgeley Park in hope of a win. She also attends her local weekly Parkrun, a free 5k running event for jogging enthusiasts.
