Care Proceedings Solicitor
In her day-to-day role, Sinead supports and represents parents and family members in cases where the Local Authority are involved, including Care Proceedings, Pre-Proceedings and providing advice to friends and family members on Special Guardianship Orders. Sinead can also provide legal advice for people who are seeking protection from domestic abuse.
Sinead specialises in cases involving allegations of neglect, domestic violence, non-accidental injury as well as physical and sexual abuse and drug or substance misuse concerns.
After graduating with a first-class honours Law (LLB) degree and completing the Legal Practice Course and Masters in Law, Sinead worked representing parents and other family members throughout the Care Proceedings and Pre-Proceedings process at another firm prior to joining Simpson Millar.
Sinead recognises the importance of a sympathetic and caring approach when advising her clients and makes sure that they feel supported at every stage of proceedings.
Outside of Work
Sinead enjoys outdoor adventures with her family and friends, walking along the beach front, visiting National Trust sites and travelling. She also likes to keep fit by running and going to the gym.
