Paul joined Simpson Millar in 2010 having worked for 12 years for Thomas Cook, including its Airtours, MyTravel and Direct Holidays subsidiaries.
He worked as a Defendant Lawyer at Thomas Cook, leading teams conducting Holiday Claims group and class actions, who had suffered Illness on Holiday, or accidents resulting in serious, catastrophic and even fatal injuries.
He is an expert in prosecuting large class action cases involving groups of holidaymakers affected by common issues, such as illness or quality complaints.
A Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives, Paul also holds a degree in Anthropology from Durham University. Paul is a member of the Travel and Tourism Lawyers Association (TATLA) and has been successful in many prominent cases.
Paul is widely respected as a committed and immensely talented Lawyer. Regarded as a robust opponent, Paul’s knowledge of tour operating and specialist fields of practice including aviation and maritime law places him among the leading UK travel litigation experts.

Paul enjoys reading non-fiction, drinking craft ales, DIY and has a particular interest in space travel.
