Katie Keiff is a Legal Assistant within our Care Proceedings team, based in Leeds.
Professional Biography
Katie has dedicated over 20 years to working as a Legal Assistant, during which she has developed a deep understanding of the legal process and how best to support those going through child care proceedings. Her responsibilities have evolved to include a wide range of tasks that support both our Child Care Solicitors and clients.
On a day-to-day basis, Katie handles important administrative duties, communicates directly with clients to offer them support, and helps ensure that the team meets important deadlines and targets. Her work is important in maintaining the smooth operation of our Child Care Proceedings department and in helping our clients going through their legal journeys.
In addition to her extensive experience, Katie has also pursued further training to improve her ability to support clients during challenging times. She trained to become a First Aid Mental Health First Aider and has recently achieved a Level 4 Diploma in Counselling, qualifying on the 14th December 2023.
The decision to focus her career within child care law comes from Katie's passion for helping vulnerable individuals. She is driven by the desire to provide meaningful support to families facing difficult circumstances, guided by the principle that everyone deserves compassionate assistance during tough times.
