Faruk Tinaz is a Solicitor within our Medical Negligence department. He is based in London.
Faruk supports people who have experienced harm as a result of medical treatment, taking the time to understand what happened and how it has affected their everyday lives, their families, and their future. He recognises that clients may be dealing with pain, disability, loss of independence or emotional distress alongside the legal process, so he places importance on being approachable, keeping them informed and making sure they feel listened to throughout their claim.
As part of his role, Faruk reviews medical records and investigates the treatment and care his clients received, working with independent medical experts to understand whether the care provided fell below an acceptable standard and whether this caused or contributed to their injury. He also communicates with hospitals, insurers and other solicitors, progressing claims and working towards securing appropriate compensation and, where possible, answers about what happened.
Faruk has experience across a wide range of Medical Negligence claims, including those involving birth injuries, spinal injuries, delayed or missed cancer diagnoses and other serious and life-changing injuries. He has worked in claimant Medical Negligence since 2017 and has over nine years’ experience in the field, having progressed from a paralegal to a solicitor and developed experience across each stage of a claim.
Faruk completed a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at London South Bank University before completing the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the University of Law. He was admitted as a solicitor on 24 July 2024.
Faruk understands the significant impact that medical negligence can have on individuals and their families. He takes a practical and compassionate approach, providing clear advice and ensuring that clients feel supported, informed, and listened throughout their case. His aim is to make the legal process as straightforward as possible whilst working towards an outcome that reflects the individual circumstances and impact of each client’s injury.
Faruk is fluent in Turkish and can support Turkish-speaking clients and their families in their own language throughout the legal process.
Alongside his legal career, Faruk previously served as a local Councillor for Hoxton East & Shoreditch in London Borough Hackney and is a Trustee of Hackney Community Law Centre. His involvement in these roles reflects his wider commitment to advocacy, access to justice, and supporting people within the community.
