We were instructed by a client who was a passenger in a vehicle which was involved in a high speed collision.
Our client was travelling as a passenger in a transit van when the van collided with a tractor. During the accident our client sustained multiple serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital where he received reconstructive surgery for a complex crush injury to his left foot and relocation of the left hip.
Following the accident our client has required further surgery, extensive rehabilitation and input from vocational rehabilitation experts as he was unable to resume employment as a soft floor layer.
Settlement was agreed by way of a Joint Settlement Meeting. Damages of £250,000 were agreed for pain, suffering, loss of amenity, care and assistance, travel expenses, damaged clothing, damaged tools and past and future loss of earnings.
