Career:

David is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and a Partner of the firm and has been with us since July 1997. He is based in our London office and heads his own team representing members of the Communication Workers Union. He specialises in claimant personal injury work dealing with a diverse caseload of employers/public liability claims and road traffic accident claims.

Association of Personal Injury Lawyers - senior litigatorDavid has over 20 years experience acting for trade union members and has particular expertise handling high value Multi-Track cases and representing members and their families at Inquest Hearing’s. He is a member and accredited Senior Litigator of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.

Notable Cases:

  • Lindsay v Cambridge City Council - David successfully represented the claimant in a case where the defendant sought to draw back from an admission of liability. The court refused the defendants application and the claimant was awarded damages of £180,000
  • Nathan Scott Matthews (dec'd) - Re HM Coroner for Oxfordshire - David acted in Inquest proceedings for the family of a 11 year old boy who tragically drowned during a supervised school swimming lesson at Thame leisure centre
  • Beaver v NFU insurance - £1.5 million settlement - David acted for a Postman who was rendered paraplegic in a head-on collision with the defendants vehicle
  • Alam v Estate of Balbinder Singh (dec'd) - £800,000 settlement - David acted for a Postman who suffered moderately severe brain damage when the vehicle in which he was a passenger crashed into a stationary mechanical digger

Interests:

His hobbies include mountain walking, football, cricket and golf. David is a dedicated fundraiser for the Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT) and one of his proudest achievements is climbing the Tibet side of Mount Everest and raising over £6,000 for TCT.
