Partner, Peter Watson, is responsible for the day-to-day running of
the firm and is supported by the Management Committee
and Equity Partners of the business.

Expertise:
Providing financial advice to recipients of medical negligence and personal injury settlements and their representatives (Deputies and Trustees) as well as advising on the structure of legal awards including the distribution between periodical payments and a lump sum award.
Career:
James has been working in financial services for 10 years, during this time he has provided clients with bespoke advice on inheritance tax mitigation, retirement planning and portfolio construction for individuals and trusts. Having previously read Economics at Newcastle University, he holds the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate.
Before joining Simpson Millar in September 2004, James worked for a Wealth Management firm in Newcastle Upon Tyne that has established links with a number of local legal and accountancy practices.
