Career:
Neil joined Simpson Millar in 2006 as a Partner having previously set up and developed, over a period of 10 years, a large Clinical Negligence team and Serious Injuries Unit at another firm in Leeds. Neil is Head of the Simpson Millar's Clinical Negligence team. Much of Neil's clinical negligence work is on behalf of children injured at birth, who suffer Cerebral Palsy or Erbs Palsy. He has had several cases reported. In addition to clinical negligence cases, Neil has conducted several class actions.
Quoted in Chambers and Partners 2013 as follows: "Neil Fearn heads the clinical negligence department at Simpson Millar LLP. He handles cerebral palsy cases and various misdiagnoses, with damages often reaching into the multimillion-pound bracket."
Neil is on the Law Society's Clinical Negligence Panel and an AvMA panel member. He is also a member of APIL.
