Career:
After working with the legal department of the GMB at their headquarters in Wimbledon, Craig started his career in personal injury with Thompsons in 1992 before qualifying as a solicitor in 1996. For approximately 8 years in legal practice firstly with Thompsons and then latterly with Simpson Millar at our London office, Craig provided advice to Trade Unions and their members in the fields of personal injury, employment law and pension related claims.
Thereafter, Craig turned his attention to information technology and worked with one of the leading legal software suppliers, Videss, where he was responsible for devising, developing, and implementing the company's "off the shelf" personal injury case management system for their software application Legal Office an application which has been sold to some 7000 users across the UK.
Upon completion of this project, Craig spent one year as a self-employed consultant providing advice to law firms on the use of information technology in legal practice. During that time, Craig resumed working with Simpson Millar to develop the firm's case management system, joined the firm as an employee in 2003 and then became the Partner responsible for information technology within the firm. Craig is a member of the Society for Computers and Law.
Interests:
In his spare time, Craig enjoys squash, cycling and snowboarding.
