Is it time to get a move on?
Fingers crossed we’re steadily climbing out of the recession, and that’s good news for people looking to move house. Latest figures show that the housing market has blossomed alongside the Spring daffodils with asking prices rising by 2.6% in the last month alone.
Average property prices are also growing and there’s been a sharp rise in properties coming onto the market. Add in the Government’s stamp duty ‘carrot’ for first-time buyers – introduced in March for properties valued at under £250,000 – and the time has never been better in recent times to put your house on the market. In fact, we’ve heard that there was a 35% rise in properties viewed on the web over Easter and the average value of a property is now 6% higher than a year ago.
However, if you want to get the best price for your house you’ll need to act now, because experts are predicting more and more houses being put on the market over the coming year – giving buyers more choice and putting your asking price under pressure. All but the most popular locations might see the gains to be made now lost by the end of the year.
That’s why our Conveyancing experts are ready and waiting to ensure you get the very best price for your house and that your house sale goes as smoothly as possible. We have an online ‘instant quote’ service which will show you upfront the costs of our services dependent upon your property type and timescales. Useful links
