We recently helped a client following an accident at work where he sustained a foot injury.
Our client was delivering laminate flooring and carpet to one of his employer’s stores on the day of the accident. He was unloading the goods from the back of the wagon using a pump truck when it broke causing the pallets to slide, trapping our client’s foot between the base of the pump truck and the side of the wagon. He suffered a fractured metatarsal on his right foot.
His employer's admitted liability for the accident early on without the need for further investigation. An offer of compensation was made after the medical evidence was disclosed which was considered too low. After further negotiations a higher settlement of £3,000 personal injury compensation was offered to our client who accepted the offer.
