Our specialist driving offences solicitors are equipped with the skills needed to act for motorists who have been charged, or are at risk of being charged,
with causing death by dangerous driving.
We have extensive experience of successfully representing and advising motorists on appeals against conviction and sentences.
Many of the people who come to us have often been represented by general criminal lawyers rather than motoring offence specialists. They have frequently
not been represented and advised properly by their previously instructed Solicitor in the convicting and/or sentencing court.

You may have been accused of dangerous driving for several reasons, some of these are:

Ignoring road signs and traffic lights
Driving a vehicle which is not road worthy
Driving whilst intoxicated
Allegations of causing death by dangerous driving only ever arise from already difficult and distressing circumstances. We are experienced in dealing with
these issues sensitively and professionally, as your trusted adviser.
Penalty on conviction
Causing death by dangerous driving is a criminal offence and can only be dealt with by a judge and jury at the Crown court, which is very different to the
Magistrates' court. This offence is punishable by a maximum sentence of 14 years in prison, and a minimum disqualification of 2 years. After the driving
ban has expired, you will be required to take an extended driving test.
