The last 18 months have been difficult for everyone, but for people in health and social care, on the frontline, they have been especially impacted by Covid-19. These groups were not able to work from home but more importantly not always given the protection they needed.
This has resulted in some healthcare workers being unable get back to work and still suffering the effects of ‘Long Covid’. Symptoms include breathlessness, chronic fatigue, ‘brain fog’, anxiety and stress. A recent report produced in May by the ONS estimated that 1.1 million people in private households in the UK reported experiencing long COVID. A higher proportion of these likely to be from occupations who were unable to work from home.
Whilst there are reports of us getting free of this virus some are still impacted. We are looking to help those who did not get the support and protection they needed from their employers. We all understand that it was unprecedented but for these people who are still suffering we can look to get financial compensation for them to ease the burden of not being able to work. We are looking to help people on a No Win, No Fee basis.
If you caught Covid whilst working in a care home, hospital or as a care worker because there was a lack of PPE, hygiene equipment and social distancing in place, we can investigate a possible compensation claim for you.
