Rory O’Donovan is a paralegal specialising in Education Law.
He supports the fee earners in the Education and Community Care team in London, and predominantly assists Samantha Hale in education matters.
Rory graduated with an LL.B. in Law with First Class Honours in 2016 from Birkbeck, University of London.
Rory has volunteered for the charity IPSEA, helping parents of children with special educational needs (SEN) in pursuing appeals at the SEND Tribunal, including with advocacy at a number of hearings on different types of SEN and discrimination appeals. He has also previously volunteered with the Hammersmith and Fulham Law Centre, assisting a team of solicitors in the areas of housing and immigration law.
Before starting at Simpson Millar, Rory worked in the public affairs team of the Catholic Education Service – the agency of the Catholic Church in England and Wales responsible for safeguarding Catholic schools and colleges.
