James' clients include business owners, their partners, farmers and land owners. He has taken a family law case to the High Court, dealt with a case through the central registry in London, and has represented clients at hearings nationwide.
James' experience extends to International Children cases, including cases where children have dual nationality, and a Hague convention case involving international child abduction. He has also experience of international property issues.
James went to Huddersfield University where he graduated with a first and won a local law prize. He also made the national semi finals of the Observer newspapers court trial competition. He worked in commercial property law before specialising in family law and for a time commuted to Leeds city centre.
James is a member of Resolution and is a trained collaborative lawyer was well as being a former president of the Huddersfield Law Society.
James lives in Huddersfield with his wife and family and is actively involved in local youth cricket and rugby clubs.
